New Collection - Wellness Spheres

The past two years I have released a series of Spheres.

In 2018 I created the Sacred Spheres of Self Realization, which was a seven painting collection inspired by bird messengers.

In 2019 I created a larger collection inspired by the magick and beauty of the Birds of Paradise. These Birds of Paradise Spheres spurred a month of zines supporting birds that are critically endangered.

I am excited to announce my 2020 collection of Spheres, The Wellness Spheres.

We are living in uncertain and unprecedented times.

Now more than ever there is a focus on Health and Protection. This series of Sphere's was painted as intentional invocations of Wellness, each a beacon for a healthier future. Each is named for a different concept relating to health.

"At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source. When you are an artist, you are a healer; a wordless trust of the same mystery is the foundation of your work and its integrity." -Rachel Naomi Remen, MD

With paint on my hands and a vision of health firmly in my heart I created these paintings with a palette of vitally alive colors. I have an ever growing collection of stamps with images symbolic of beauty, hope, joy, spirit, and change, infusing these paintings with a visual language linked to Wellness.

The Twelve Paintings are named after the Wellness I sought to call in for the world, for those suffering from illness today, and for those seeking to ease their fears around the changing landscape of our world in the face of COVID-19. Paintings hold names and energy of wellness such as Immunity, Empowerment, and Solidarity.
