My contribution to the miniatures genre of art making. Each mini canvas houses a tiny butterfly print, one-of-a-kind just like a real butterfly, created using a monotype process called Gelli-printing. Each of these mixed media paintings are a little tidbit of artistic magnificence that you can tuck away on those odd walls in your home that are hard to decorate. I have seen them housed on altars, placed in cars, made into magnets, and hidden in nooks to bring a reminder of cheer and change into the home. Over 100 Butterfly Paintings were made for this collection originally on view at Still Cellars Distillery in Longmont, CO in 2019.
