Mini Butterfly Canvases

You know what makes me happy? Mini art. Little tidbits of artistic magnificence that you can tuck away on those on walls in your home that are hard to decorate. Delicate watercolors and little Milagros and shrines and exquisite oil paintings. I love that stuff!

And now I have my own collection of little delicate masterpieces to share with all of you!

It all started with the acquisition of my cherished butterfly punch. I loved the little butterfly prints so much I wanted to showcase them and share them with the world. I bought a bunch of mini canvases and through the addition of art resin ended with a polished little gem of whimsy fun. Each butterfly is unique! Each butterfly is punched from one of my gelli prints. The patterns and shapes and colors of the prints reminded me of the kaleidoscopic beauty of real butterflies. This is just my first iteration on this project but I see it evolving to include different color palettes and inspirations. For now it’s simply a wild and eclectic explosion of color!

You can take these little beauties home on July 22nd at the A Place to B Studio Swap and Sell. Hope to see you there! Facebook Event

Let me know which color combos are you favorites in the comments. I’d love to know!
